B&H or Adorama usually have about the same prices and are about as low as I have found.

When I bought my Z1 sp B&H had the lowest price. Plus it was at my house the next day with free shipping.

Yea I dont think these guys go on any kind of sales ever, so just check out the usual big resellers and pick one.

Arca-Swiss strikes me as an old-fashioned engineering company, kind of like the way Hewlett-Packard used to be. They don't even have a web site. Those guys probably don't even know what a sale is... ;)

Shame for them too. They should fix that. While they fail to advance their marketing and advertising, many other companies have grown and profitted well from their design. If all things were equal, RRS = Arca-Swiss = Markins, Id always go for the cooler looking or more popular/better regarded option, and really all that is is a function of marketing.

Well to be fair to them their real business where they make their money is in view cameras (external link) that can cost up to $10K+. They have such a reputation that when they branched out into other mechanical bits and pieces like ballheads people just bought on the basis of the name and the mechanical quality of the cameras. The ballheads and brackets and stuff are just a sideline. Their precision cameras are at the top and of the market and of course take digital backs and I understand they're very successful. They're not mass market but I think they're doing OK... ;)
