I'm gonna try covering my lens hoods! I just ordered two sheets of 3M's DiNoc Carbon Fiber from this site:

http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/ (external link)

I got one sheet in white and the other in gloss black -- white to complement my white lenses (70-200 and 100-400), and black for the rest.

I would respectfully disagree with my friend Ben_r.... the skins do protect the lens hoods from scratches and scuffs, all while adding a little personal customization. I have similar skins on my iPhone, as an alternative to a bulky case. Just my preference.

Yeh, we all live in this Saran wrap environment. Heaven forbid we get a scratch on our tools.

Oh...hogwash! That's an American saying....I really don't know what it means :p

Humans beings do like to impress other human beings...whether it is how we dress, what kind of cars we drive, or in this case - how our hoods look....someone of us like what is under the hood better, but an attractive hood helps :p

I know it is an old post...just haing some fun Y'all.

How'd it turn out? Inquiring minds want to know. Bonus points for pics.
