My sister asked me to do some maternity shots for her. I wasn't crazy about the location, but I'm fairly happy with the results.

... you were fighting some pretty harsh lighting conditions - but did a great job. My "Top Shot" is #1

Thanks. I did have to do a lot of work in LR and PS to try to correct for the lighting. They've still got some issues, but I'm happy for what I had to work with as far as light conditions and location.

I'm about to get some of these printed for her, and I'm trying to decide if I should remove the rest of the insects from #7, or leave them as part of the scene. I've already removed probably 15 - 20 of them that were near her.

I love 3, 5, and 7....Lighting in 3, and 5 looks good.

On 7 the back lighting is beautiful and would have been perfect if you had used a fairly stronng fill flash on her face.

Good job overall.

I really like number 7....and I dont think the insects take anything away from the image. I agree with the fill flash comment, but great shots!

The reason I didn't use a flash for fill was that she wanted a something like a silhouette, but once I started processing, the silhouette just didn't work in that setting. Thankfully, RAW allowed me to still get a usable image out of it.
