Has any one got any examples using a G6 in poor light at 400 isa

I have a G3 and it is very poor at that speed.

Do I wait for the next G series camera or settle for a G6.
(or I could go Olympus E500)

The G6 probably isn't a lot better, I pretty much avoid shooting at 400 if at all possible.

There are samples of 400 ISO photos on the G6 review on dpreview.com. Nothing in low light, but you can see the grain pretty well in the tests.

My G6 has absolutely horrendous noise at ISO-400. I'd never shoot at that speed. Even 200 is noisy. 100 and 50 are awesome though.

This is ISO 400, there was almost no light at all ...

That is certainly better than I can get on a G3 at 400 ISO
Have you used any noise supressing software.

Any small sensor digital is going to have the same problem. The picture posted is both a small version and has very little shadow areas which is where the noise shows up most. The G6 is no better than the G3.

No, I did it without any noise supressing software, shoot in RAW and develop, little bit unsharp. I just exprerimenting if in extreem situation I can use ISO 400, now I know that I can.
