That is a crazy iceberg and a crazy angular house.

Wow! These are really nice. Newfoundland is not on my bucket list, but that may change now. :)

this was a family vacation first, a photo trip for me second. I had to skip doing long hikes and was limited to car sightseeing and short relaxed hikes. here are some of the places we visited.

day 1, flew into Halifax early morning, drove to North Sydney, took the ferry crossing to Port Aux Basque
day 2-3, spent 2 days in Gros Morne, Western Brook Pond is a must see. although I had a really bad sunburn from the boat tour. I should wear a hat and sitting in the shade!
day 3-4, drove to St. Anthony, saw a huge iceberg close to the coast at Fishing Point. there is also a tiny one trapped in the bay. visited L'anse aux Meadows
day 5, it was raining all day, drove toward twillingate, stay the night in Deer lake
day 6, visited Long Point Lighthouse in twillingate, didn't see any icebergs there
day 7, took the ferry to change and fogo island, the long studio is a must see
day 8, drove to Bonavista, saw some puffins near Elliston
day 9, drove to trinity, hike the Skerwink Trail
day 10-11, explored st. john and the surrounding communities. took a tour boat in Bay Bulls, saw some humpback whales. the view from Signal Hill is breathtaking, a must-see.
day 12, Marine Atlantic sucks big time. there was no boat waiting for us when we arrived at port Argentia. the ferry was cancelled due to mechanical problems. had to drive back to Port Aux Basque, Ferried back to Nova Scotia.
day 13-14, cape breton park, hike the skyline trail
day 15-16, explored peggy's cove and halifax
day 17, flew back home

few more pics

You got some great representative shots of one of our most picturesque provinces. And Nova Scotia too, you hit the high points at Peggy's Cove and Cape Breton :) Nicely done on all. Hope you had a good time!
