Depends on her mood at the time. Sometimes she ignores it and sometimes she knows I'm taking pictures and wants to come see them.
Yea, now that I think back to when I had that lens, this one is much longer. It may weight more, but I think the longer body helps balance the weight better. And it focuses a whole lot faster.
Not sure about the saving $1000 part, but I'm pretty happy with where I am now. With the 1.4x and 2x included, I am covered up to 600 5.6 on crop bodies. While I need to get it out in proper light to do some testing, I was impressed with the images from the 2x around the home interior tonight.
I already have the 120-300 OS, and seeing the all-Sigma line-up you have, and knowing what you had to pay for them as opposed to the 70-200 II or 17-55 IS, it makes me wonder if ignoring the red rings and doing the same line-up you have makes more sense. Don't know if I could ever give up the 70-200 II, but you've sure got me thinking...
