Don't you hate it when that happens!?

I got it with a 55-250mm for less than $500 total. Seemed like a good deal, hoping to love this camera. I've always wanted one!

Any advice, 40D users!?

Fantastic camera. I've still got mine as a second body and I keep my 100-400 almost permanently attached to it. The AF is great (better than my 5dii) and 6 FPS is not to be sniffed at either. The sensor is one of the best sensors of its generation IMHO. It's good up to ISO 800 and 1600 at a pinch. At lower ISO it delivers great colours and DR with virtually no banding. For all but the most imense of prints, it's all most people will ever need.

Get yourself a 17-55 f2.8 IS and you'll have a very nice two-lens combo.

Enjoy!

I have 2 of them, great cameras and very reliable. Never had a single issue with mine, they are workhorses and just keep going and going. I don't think you will regret buying it.

Great camera and lens. How did you 'accidentally' buy it? And welcome to POTN!

I see that you joined almost three years ago! Long time lurker, huh?

Still using my 40D I bought on launch day. Works great, even as a second chair to my 7D.

Sold my precious 40D to get a 5Dc to go FF.
It hurt me so.

The 5D3 help my wounds heal though!

I LOVED my 40D. I put around 100K clicks through it and it never gave me a problem!

Mine is several years old now with over 50,000 clicks. It's like a 'tank' - just keeps on working and I still use it as my back up to the 5D2. No plans to get rid of it.

Nice pictures! I love doing surfing photos...

I accidentally clicked the submit form on KEH.com instead of closing the page out like I should have!

I don't regret it though, not one bit. Order shipped today!

I had one before and it was a workhorse for around 2 years before giving the gear to a nephew.

A good performer.
