Some frog photos from Panama.

I've been to central america a couple of times now but had never seen a red-eyed tree frog (despite much searching) so was pretty happy to have some willing subjects.

Thanks for the comments - yup some of the poison dart frogs (and even the cane toads) can be pretty nasty. Those little D. auratus are pretty safe though and you can handle them if you're careful!

Those shots take "red eye" to another level. I like #4 because the stripes on "his" side are visible, though the first 4 all represent "him" well.

Thanks everyone - they certainly are lovely subjects.

Phoenixkh - yeah different frogs show quite a lot of variation in the amount of blue they have on their flanks. These are actually two different red-eyed tree frogs and one had much prettier markings.
