Seriously, that's legit? I didn't realize Canon could take a hint.

We'll see this Monday.

So, Canon has decided to get into the mirrorless market. They're way late to the game. Almost seems pointless.

Unless you want to use all your canon lenses (with AF?) on it or if it blows away the competition.

Well, word is Canon is submitting a patent for an EF to EF-M step down adapter so you can use EF lenses with the new cam, but the cam seem very consumer-oriented, versus the meh "prosumer" market.

It really looks like a fat powershot with a wheel on the back and a removable lens.

ABR800 - Several flashes, remote triggers, stands, too many and yet not enough lenses

If it's priced right and the EF adapter is good... it could be a good little camera...

Mirrorless + 70-200 F2.8 II anyone?

Add "sans viewfinder" and that pretty much describes mirrorless cameras.

True, but I doubt Canon will do it right, right for me at least.

Aesthetics is part of it, just look at the popularity of Leica and some of the Fuji cameras. If Canon releases that ugly thing it will drop in price just as fast as the Nikon 1 camera's did.
