I really need to get an L bracket for my 7D with grip though... I only have a plate for my 7D, and it's just a regular plate lot an L, so every-time I want to use my tripod I have to take the grip off and then it's a pain for portrait mode...

Haha, I had clicked 'post' before i was ready.
I like to hand hold the camera with a flash bracket, and use a tripod for the slave.
Of course, I don't have a studio; all the seniors I've photographed liked outdoors pictures.
These ones from this weekend are my best yet!

(I broke Dad's foot for his 580, though. Oops.)
At least it wasn't the 430 that broke; the feet are like $4 on eBay.

Yeah, he got banned quite awhile ago along with stealthy, both of whom try to keep coming back. And yeah... who knows with those 2... it's quite sporadic... though I think their back together...
