Thank you! We try to license all our online songs.. We end up with about 80-90% success.
This one is in such a grey area because it was part of a performance(the couple had a choreographed dance at the end song of our video). We did pay a usage right to the venue/dj for each song. Because it was created for the reception.. some people say it becomes a documentary video at that point and the venue ascap usage rights carry through. Some say it doesn't. Some lawyers say you can't video a 'first dance' and use the camera's captured audio online. Some lawyers say you can't video your kid dancing to a song and put it on YouTube! It's all too confusing
