After using an sx40hs for nearly a year I've grown out of it and feel like it has started holding me back. So for the last 3 months i've been pestering my fiance to allow me to spend the paycheck on a dslr and today she said yes!!

Here's my situation, tomorrow we're going to calgary to buy A camera and my choices are;
T2i - Display model with the 18-55 for $550
Or
t3i - New for $650 with the 18-55 and for $230 theyl include the 55-250
Which one should i go for? I know the differences between the 2 arent that huge but is it worth it?
Sorry if this question has been asked before but mainly i want to make sure those prices are ok..im hopless at using the search function also :P
First I have both cameras. They are very similar in most respects but the T3i does have a few more in camera feature than the T2i other than the articulating screen. I also find the T3i's grip much more comfortable, but that's a personal thing. But beyond that, there are two reasons to buy the T3i for $100 more. First, it's new, vs a display model that was handled and played with and perhaps even banged by numerous people that are clueless about DSLRs. The T3i on the other hand is presumably straight out of the box. Secondly, that extra $100 also gets you a new 18-55mm lens instead of a floor sample. In the US, The T3i generally sells for between $590 and $619 for the body only. The 18-55 can be had for between $150 and $200. If you can get the T3i with an 18-55 for $650 CAN, I believe that it is a very good price since prices for cameras seem generally higher in Canada. $250 is around the going price for a 55-250mm in the US. That sounds like it might be a decent price in CAN $ Even though they are both budget kit lenses, they will give you quite good results, and both are considered bargains. Those two lens and a T3i body will give you a great starter kit with a combined focal range of 18-250mm. Sweet!
