9615xx Thank you kind sir. I'm just learning, so please, listen to those who truly know what they are talking about. From what can be seen here I'm tempted to go with hatch year male because of the indistinctness of the white eyebrow stripe. It is usually much more prominent in females, but not necessarily so very much in hatch year. The shoulder color, what can be seen of it might also mean young male, but it could also be older female. To my newbie eye this bird does not appear to be old at all. Wow do I have a lot to learn! The Chosen Spot, NY
