You are really nailing the focus with those.

I'm really not :D I'm just firing when I see eyes and stacking around 3-8 shots. Although feel I'm getting a bit better; 60mm macro + 60mm of extension tubes takes some getting used to. Can't imagine how MPE owners must feel.

I took number 6 without any extension tubes and was surprised how 1x differed to 2x I'm getting with the tubes.

Actually I was thinking of taking some shots on 1x to get the whole damsel rather than portraits that I've been doing. However number 10 inspired me to go out shooting in the rain as (i) they don't really run away in the run (ii) I like how the rain drops look

My technique with the MP-E is to take loads of shots so that the law of averages says one of them will be in focus :) It is a heavy setup when you include the flash bracket, flash & diffuser and I wobble like crazy shooting hand held. I am considering a monopod like the manfrotto neotech.

I've been thinking of getting one too; gets very difficult when you can't lie down on the ground or prop yourself up against something. Any specific ones you had on mind?

I like the look of the Neotech ones as you can adjust them by just squeezing the handle and then raising or lowering it and then release the handle and it has locked, but I have only read about them. That seems a lot more convenient then playing with the three clips most types have. They don't go very low though. I was looking at the Manfotto 685B. It is not cheap though and you need to add a head. Here is a video of one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv8VVPfwwyU (external link)

Thanks! I don't think going low is a problem as if they are on the ground I find it quite comfortable to position my elbows on the ground to steady the camera.

Nice ones. You should post them at 1024 so we can see them without clicking.

I guess I'll do that next time. Was a bit concerned of having 10 images @1024
