And left me a present or two. I am now using a Canon 70-300 IS USM lens.

WOW B.E., It seems that Santa was very kind to you so far this year. Those shots all look very natural, and well exposed. ;)
Congrats on the new lens. :D

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Great pictures Bald Eagle. Just wish Santa would visit me and drop in some butterflies! But we will have to be patient for two or three months - meanwhile we will enjoy yours. Thanks for showing.

Another congrats Rick, Excellent shots, are you using the "is" without the tripod or with? Are you using an extension tube for your extreme close-up?

Thanks Dennis, I'm learning how not to use a tripod, slowly. I have taken several great shots so far without the Tripod. these were with the tripod. and yes, I had a full set of tubes for the extreme close-up.:D :D :D :D

I bought that lens a few months ago when it just went on the market. I'm very impressed with it so far. I think it's great for people who cannot afford L-glass, like myself.

Thanks very much, and I agree, I am very impressed with this lens.:D :D :D
