Excellent work, as usual.
Any flash in the first two?

Excellent photos. I really like the last one with Santa getting ready with his two helpers next to him.

Good stuff...looks like you had some really good lighting...I just finished shooting my cousins christmas play as well and it was "tough" lighting...

Cheers,

Thank you. Yes, the first two had some flash. The room was pretty well lit though.

Great job.

Thank you. I wanted to offer pictures to some of the ones in the back popping their flash.. I know all they got were dark pictures, but I didn't want to open that bag.

Cheers,

Thank you. The lighting was better than I expected. I was able to shoot with ISO 400 and had no issues with shutterspeed all night.

And as far as I can tell, you bounced it (correct me if I'm wrong).

I just got to thinking ... The only thing missing in the first shot is catchlights in her eyes. And I'm wondering if that ole' trick of using a 3x5 index card rubber-banded to the flash unit might have lit her up just enough to create those catch lights.

... Pure conjecture, combined with 20/20 hindsight. ;)

Nope, it was shot straight on. I had the sto fen on it. If you look real closely you can see the catchlights. I was standing pretty far away from her and she really wasn't at the best angle to catch the light in her eyes.

I have a lumiquest softbox that can get the same effect as the 3x5 card, but I like the sto fen a little better.
