Really nice! I'd have a hard time keeping the time under 3 minutes myself I'm heading to the big island in 2 months.

Thanks! Yeah I didn't have room for even more footage I wanted to post. But I like the time restriction -keeps me from picking the unnecessary stuff!

The video is great BUT - you relise that you broke a law which could get you in a whole bunch of trouble

Hawaii's Sea turtles are covered both state and federal law, They are an endangered species and harassing them in any way (includes swing towards them or trying to touch them or doing stuff that might make them uncomfortable ) can result in fines up to $14k Yes that's 14 thousand dollars.

Most people mean no harm but they are very susceptible to human diseases and infections.

No, you're absolutely right. They told us before letting us into Hanauma about the laws, but I wasn't even looking for sea turtles when this one showed up. It looks like I'm touching it, but I'm really not. And if you see the original clip it all happened fairly quick he popped out of nowhere! I didn't follow it or anything -basically was just lucky enough to get a glimpse of it for footage. But I do I wish the footage was as good as the thousands of other footage on YouTube of sea turtles from other tourists =/

Fun video man. I like the way the GoPro shots worked in there, very hard to notice (until I saw your gear list).

First one is at 25 seconds or pretty close to it. When your editing and you mis-align an edit in the timeline you get single or double frames of black show up where there should be a clean cut between shots of video. Sometimes i have used or seen a cut to black then a few frames dissolve up to the next shot. or vise versa. Dissolve out to black and tehn cut into the next shot. I thought that is what you may have been doing but I missed the fade... I think you actually did it later in the video.

OH! Lol those were intentional. I intentionally added those blank "black flash frames" at 0:25, 0:34, and 1:18... if you listen to the song, I placed them right when the song "claps."
