Vintage Lenses

I have an old 70s vintage Miranda Sensorex 35mm film camera with a very good 50 mm f1.4 lens I would like to mount to my T3i. Is there any adapter that will let me mate the two together? I also have a Vivitar 135 mm with a T4 mount for the Miranda. Do that make a T4 for that lens that will mate to the T3i?

I'm not personally aware of any Miranda mount to EF adapters, and a quick google would tend to suggest they're not that easy to find if they do exist. I know that Miranda lenses have a smaller back focusing distance than Canons, therefore you're going to need an adapter with corrective optics to achieve infinity focus too.

Even if there was a Miranda to EF adapter it would need glass optics to maintain infinity focus and would probably degrade the image too much: http://www.bobatkins.c​om …faq/manual_focu​s_EOS.html

Thanks for both inputs. So it sounds like I have a really good lens on the Miranda that is going to stay exactly where it is. I guess I'll have to eventually spring for the Nifty Fifty.

Or you could try for any number of compatible 50/1.4 lenses that are available for peanuts at flea markets and thrift stores.
