Think the luck part is at least part-made. I try to shoot a few shots everyday provided the weather is reasonable so get a lot of practice and a lot of shots. At the moment there is only one place in my garden where I can reliably find bugs (the sunniest spot) which makes it easier. Having the time to watch what they are upto also makes it easier to approach them without scaring them.
