As photographers we are interested in the technical perfection of an image such as resolution, lack of noise, etc. The rest of the world is more interested in the visual impact. Technical perfection adds (sometimes) to the impact, but composition, emotion and original point of view are more important. A photographer might walk up to the Mona Lisa and say, "I can get better resolution than that with my digital Rebel." The rest of the world stands back and enjoys the picture.
