I've only used it once for a rental during a wedding and loved it, but I am looking for more opinions on this lens before I commit to it. I am selling one of my lenses that I barely use, the Canon 70-300mm but will probably only get about $120.00 out of it. Has anyone else used this lens before, and what did you think of it?

there are quite a few people on this board the own or have owned this lens, there are two versions of it the PZD version being the newer. I have had an 18-270 VC for some time in both nikon and canon mount and find it a very useful lens to have around. Being a jack of all trades there are compromises but if your happy with the images that you created. i'd say go for it, check out this thread https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=599376 it is full of photos created with this lens and also the expirences of it's users

I just acquired the T3i about a month ago, and wanting a telephoto lens with significant zoom capability, I did some research and purchased the TAMRON 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD. I am by no means a professional, but am pleased with the range of capability of this lens ( and the T3i ) so far, including full 15x zoom and close-ups of less than 12 inches away.

I do need to learn and experiment with the various non-automatic features of this camera, and get some ideas for locations/subjects, hence my joining this forum today...
