I'm shooting a wedding next month and have been considering buying a couple lightspheres. I will have on camera (bracket) and one on stand for cake cutting and dance floor. Anyone have any advice or suggestions on these? I know stofen comes up but I just don't see those softening as much as the spheres. Thanks!
Yeah, here is a bit of advice. DONT. They dont do what you think they do. Learn how to bounce your flash, the lightspheres only work in circumstances where you have plenty of bounce surfaces, if you have that, you probably dont need a lightsphere to begin with. Do a search here for Fong and you will find plenty of discussions on the evil of those devices. The only way to get softer light is to make your light source larger and the lightspheres dont do that. Bouncing does.
