With my G6 I am so confident that I think I can take pictures in every situation, I just have to do some time thinking what is best for that situation. I also have my Raynox 6600 with what I can take some relly nice storytelling pictures and I am planing to get the Hoya R72 for some IR photos.

The 20D I love because it is fast and capable of taking pictures with very high ISO settings...the only drawback is money...I don't have enough to buy the lenses I dream of.

Hi Artan!

If you are free this Sunday, we can meet up in Manhattan and shoot some pictures for the current challenge. Bring your 20d too so we can shoot with both cameras. I'd like to show you some of my MF lenses for the 20d, they are inexpensive but have great glass though. I can also bring my Hoya R72 if you'd like to try it out, we need a tripod for that though.

Here's a couple of shots that I "grabbed" from my stash. I'll post some more in the future.

And an early IR shot. I haven't been experimenting with IR photography as much as I'd like to yet, perhaps when it's warmer outside.

Hey BB.

I work tomorrow morning from 7:00-2:30pm at my regular job (Doorman). After that I could probably leave my house duties for some other day, and, if it's convenient with you, we could have the rest of the day together.

I haven't done no work for this challenge since I was crasy busy, but I am enjoying the entries. If nothing works out for tomorrow, we could meet each other some other day...I love to learn more and more about photography...

Guys, I am really enjoying this thread, thanks so much for your inputs.

My regards,

Artan

I'm a newb so my best may not be up to the best possible. But this will show what a newb can do with a G6 just starting out.

Suedezu, you have some very nice pictures. Because of the type of photography I do, I have a lot of "keystoning". It's very easy to fix. Do you like this better?

Thank you for your comments. It does look a little better. What did you do with it? Can you please describe the steps in PS? Thank you in advance.

Suedezu, first make a copy of the background layer to work on. Edit / Transform / Skew and pull the top center handle to straighten the middle of the picture. "Enter" to commit. Now Edit / Transform / Distort and pull the top corner handles to straighten the edges of the builsing. Sometimes you have to crop to clear the edges but in this case I didn't. Takes very little time.

One point. This does not have to be done perfectly and in some cases, if you do it perfectly a very few people will say it doesn't look real. But you can do most of it and improve on it and still look real. In most of my pictures, complete fidelity is not as important as a pleasing picture.

Transform is your friend. I use it not only for bulidings, but also for any structure that contains vertical and horizontal lines that are supposed to be just that. Any such structure, when not photographed head on, will exhibit skewed lines which are a bit distracting. I have a lot of those photographs, especially with street shots where I shoot blindly from the hip. The perspective is all distorted, and Transform helps tame it.
