Dec 29, 2005 at Cathedral Rock, Colorado Springs--15 or so miles from my home--first visit (second yet to come). All taken with an old trusty G1 and R72 infrared filter. Feb 19, 2006 13:47 | #96 I left the windown down on my truck and when I went back out to roll it up I found this baby cardinal on my dash. Taken with my G3 and handheld - it's hard to set up a tripod inside a truck.

I really like this thread because it's proving that the Canon G-series cameras are trully capable of producing some great photography. Cheers! ~Mark

Feb 20, 2006 01:35 | #102 I almost kept the bird because I couldn't get it out of the truck. I opened all the doors and shooed it out of the truck I thought. The next morning I found it sitting on the back seat looking out the back window at its parent sitting just outside the window. I opened the doors and chased it back and forth across the seat but it kept disappearing either behind the seat or hiding under the front seat. I finally opened the back window of the pickup and the bird found its way out. I was afraid I might injure it so I didn't try to catch it just shoo it out of the truck. It is amazing how fast that rascal was and how loud it could squawk. Joe
