Here's some artistic meddling that I did on a recent shot from Great South Bay. The vessel, Ganymede out of Sayville, LI, is a gaff-rigged schooner, being single-handed by a skipper who was texting at the time (boo!). What do you think?

I like it a lot. The only thing that I can suggest that may work a little better is to allow a little more room in front of the schooner and a little less behind it.

I like the idea; but I don't like the tonal banding on the sails. If you could smooth out the banding and maybe increase the toning I think it would be better.
EDIT: and you might clone out that white thing below the bowsprit.
