Was on location with Hilltop Hoods earlier this year shooting various covers including Rip It Up, The Advertiser and various street press throughout the country.
Here’s a look back at the shots and how they were lit.
There one more (it's a mug shot) over at my site:

Key light to camera right – Ranger “S” head, shot through large softbox, fill light camera left – Ranger “A” head shot into reflective umbrella plus a speedlite 580EXii behind and camera left for separation. Ranger heads powered by Ranger RX Speed AS triggered via MiniTT1 and ST4 combo.

Single light to camera right up high and angled down – Ranger “S” head, shot into reflective umbrella plus a speedlite 580EXii to camera left for separation. Ranger head powered by Ranger RX Speed AS triggered via MiniTT1 and ST4 combo.

Same setup as 01 above: key light to camera right – Ranger “S” head, shot through large softbox, fill light camera left – Ranger “A” head shot into reflective umbrella plus a speedlite 580EXii to the side and camera left for accent. Ranger heads powered by Ranger RX Speed AS triggered via MiniTT1 and ST4 combo.

And here’s a shot that was culled from the final selection.
Again, the lighting was similar: Key light to camera right and above – Ranger “S” head, shot through large softbox, although this time the speedlite 580EXii was actually shoved through a hole in the corrugated iron to provide a back wash. Ranger heads powered by Ranger RX Speed AS triggered via MiniTT1 and ST4 combo.
