Am i doing something wrong?
Is my 7D handling these custom settings properly?
In setting up my 3 main shooting modes all went well.
Except when it comes to Flash Control.
I want to set up C1 to be Wireless Flash enabled and C2 to be Wireless Flash Disabled.
If I change C1 and register it, It changes permenantly - Great
But then if I go into C2 this has also been changed.
So I assumed this 'Flash Control Section' was like a global parameter change,
However in the same section I can set both to Evaluate, and later change one to Average and they then stay set independantly [as I would have expected].
Or is the disable Wireless setting on odd ball out?

Yes, it is, and that's because the wireless settings for a 580 EX II (for example) are actually stored in the flash, not in the camera. It's only the evaluative vs. center-weighted metering that's camera-based.
Thus you should see the setting menu for wireless flash for external flashes as a shortcut to reach it in the flash, not as a setting you store in the camera. The setup you do will follow the flash unit. That is, if you have more than one 580 EX II (or whatever), the setup which was stored in your second flash will replace whatever you set up in the first, when you mount the second flash instead.

Probably to be in line with this behavior, Canon have chosen to let the wireless settings for the internal flash to also be outside of the stored parameter sets, although there's no technical reason for why they would have to do that, since they are indeed stored inside the camera.

Thanks for that - things like that make me wonder:-
Do I understand this?
What did I do wrong etc?
So sound like I don't have a problem.

Your camera is working as it's designed to do.
Then if you have a problem with that, only you can tell!
