I've been working on this one for several hours and am at a bit of an impasse as to which way to tone it... Not necessarily looking for a certain direction other than the client has mentioned The Matrix, The Perfect Drug NIN video, etc... as far as his desire. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts... two versions roughed up so far...

My eye goes to the plaster remnant in the upper left and the blow outs in the center of the floor first in both.

The person in the chair is somewhat "lost in the sauce" in both but I suppose it's less difficult to find him in #1.

I understand the limitations of URBEX shooting where you sometimes have to shoot & scoot but you didn't do yourself any favors having direct shafts of sunlight straight into the middle of the room.

Why not put something interesting on TV like T. Leary's face maybe? A rat in the foreground might be a nice touch too. The guy's long left arm is a little too weird. Is this for a magazine?

Thanks and yeah, lost the highlights of the light coming in... this was kind of an impromptu thing we did after the main shoot. It's one of those things where I think it's kind of cool until you really try to make sense of it, he loves it, so he's getting some variation of this regardless. Gotta see what I can do with the originals before putting them together... I might even knock out 1-2 of the more over-exposed images for the HDR.

Thanks!

I'm aging myself, but the first thing I thought of wasn't Nine Inch Nails or The Matrix, but the old Maxell ads. His left arm looks like the scarf, and the whole setup just looks like the ad 30 yrs later in the same room, after it has deteriorated (if that makes sense). If you guys/gals are too young to know what I'm talking about; http://mcgarnagle.files.wordpress.com …c4_images201005maxell.jpg (external link) But with that said, it is a very cool image.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?
Digital - 50D, 20D IR Conv, 9 Lenses from 8mm to 300mm
Analog - Mamiya RB67 Pro-SD, Canon A-1, Nikon F4S, YashicaMat 124G, Rollei 35S, QL17 GIII, Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex 1st Version, and and entire room full of lenses and other stuff

yeah, I thought the same thing... in fact, we turned the tv and the chair in a little to keep from getting that exact look.
