Harlan's Hawk ?

This hawk was a bit upset as it had a recent kill nearby. The day before my dog ate its kill and I think it was determined to keep us away from this afternoon's feast!

Fortunately, I had my camera with me this day, in anticipation of again seeing the hawk above our property in Yukon, Canada.

I believe it is a Harlan's Hawk, which is also known as the northwestern version of the Red-tailed Hawk (not so much red on its tail). Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Turns out the two hawks moved away a day later ... after being here for about a week. Very glad I took my camera that day!
