So at 48 years old my mom got her high school diploma and I attended the ceremony to take some photos. It was indoor with a white dropped ceiling ~ 18' high. I shot @ ISO's 400 - 800 and bounced my 430ex II off the ceiling.

I'm not extremely happy with how these turned out SOOC and had to do a ton of PP work (everything was underexposed). It wasn't a big deal for my mom to have photos of this ceremony SO....this was mainly a practice thing for me. I need more practice, HAHA!

Oh yeah, they had 3 cap and gown sets for everyone to share (for photo purposes). Just to clear up any confusion...

work on your composition and learn about rule of thirds, just a guideline, not rules.

don't shoot so low, we have a nice view of her neck

Good photos!!!! This goes to show it's never to late. Tell her we all said congratulations. Yeah I need to get in more practice as well!
