Jul 15, 2012 20:59 | #1 Has anyone used the new Pancake lens for concerts yet? I am going to be shooting a band that plays at some local bars, etc and was wondering if the 40mm 2.8 would be a good choice with my 5d. I do have the nifty-fifty so would the 40mm be redundant to use?

If you need a good wide angle lens, its best to go for a 30mm, with a 40mm its not much of a difference to the 50mm.
