Following the sucess of my Mist in the Wye Valley picture I thought I had better post another shot from same days shoot, sorry but I put other one in wrong section (you can find it in next section still life etc.)
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=119993

working with a mono pod and 300mm f 2.8 IS lens on a 1Dmk2. set at 400 iso
and trying to get some grain/noise intentionally, always seems to work well with this type of shot.
see what you think and compare to my other, please let me know.

Martin, Three beautiful shots which have been well thought out - I love the compositon of the first and the last - and the juxtaposition of the Light and Dark on the second is very dramatic - good shooting

I'm just a beginner in this photo thing, but these pix (esp. 1 & 3) remind me of Japanese/Chinese paintings, just fantastic. Hope I'll be 1/10 as good as you and I'll be happy.

Excellent work all.
I really like the spire.
I also like the one from the other post. I can see why it took the prize.
How long did you have to wait arond to get these shots?

The third one is spot on! Amazing! I would crop out some of the fog that's in the lower part of the firts picture. Not much though...

The 1st and 3rd and wonderful. I love the contrast. You've captured the fog wonderfully. The second shot is good, but just doesn't have the same drama as the other two.

Kenny
I know what you meen about the second shot, it does not come over as strong on screen, however there is quite a lot of fine detail in central area of shot , now when this is viewed on a large print it seems so much better.

thankyou for your nice comments.
