What great depth those leaves in the upper right bring to this shot, great composition! Is that distortion on the bridge or does the bridge just begin to arch at the second vertical post?

That's the way the bridge is built. It looks like it is about to collapse with that "dent" though, doesn't it?

Some more green for you. I really am not doing anything in PP to affect color.

Bright vibrant color, to be sure.

Your tulips must be slightly behind ours, which makes sense. Ours started blooming a couple of weeks ago.

Love the bridge photo and the tulip! From huge to tiny in two posts :-)

I was at the second day of filming for the Commonwealth Games, and this pigeon seemed to want to eat my lunch. I was quite pleased with this, given that it came from a cameraphone...

Nice truck in the background.

What is that in the foreground? My first guess was croquet wikits.

I went out to a public meeting today where a well-known Scottish politician - George Galloway - was talking about the Scottish secession referendum. He spoke very well, and even though I come at the issue from a very different starting point, I reach similar conclusions.

we are just about done with the house we are building, just got trees planted yesterday. This morning sprinklers went off and got the old trees wet which froze, but the new trees in the back were still nice and green. They are the only trees in town with leaves!

What is your opinion on the secession? When is the vote?

Way over here, I've heard of the issue, but don't know all the political nuances. One thing I've heard is that UK won't let Scotland use the pound as its currency any longer, so you'd have to come up with your own. Is that as big of an issue as they implied?

Nice to be doing something creative again. I am doing a lot of travel for work right now, so I have a good reason to leave the hotel and shoot the natives (with a camera).:D
