Enjoying the pictures here, gentlemen!

One of the things that has been consuming my time has been trying to put together a blog for my 365. I've now got it in place; there will be minor formatting changes but the main structure is in place.

If you're interested, it can be found at http://atp365.thepotters.org/ (external link)

regards,
/alan

Nice blog. Even if I opened it up to big hairy nasty spider. What is that? I know my American spiders, but not familiar with that one.

I like the stories that go along with those photos. It adds something to this whole project.

News helicopter waiting to televise the July 4th holiday fireworks show. I had planned on using one of many fireworks shots, but the card reader on my PC fried out, and took the card with it. I lost them all. This was taken with my backup camera. I had the main one setup on a tripod waiting for the show, and took my backup so that I could take others of interest and not mess up my setup.

The helecoptor shot works very well! I have had a bad habit recently of not putting my card back in the camera as was the case for fireworks. I took a shot at our fireworks show and realized I had no card, again.... I was saved though by my girlfriend. She had her camera so I stole her card!

Thank you for the kind comments on the blog. I've now moved it to http://project365.thepotters.org (external link) after some fighting with my DNS provider :-) As for the spider, someone said it was a "garden spider". Whether that is a breed of spider, or he was just meaning that I found it in the garden, I do not know. I guess I'm rather letting it slip that I'm not much of a naturalist here...

vegabond, I love your hot air balloons shot - the balloons are perfectly lined up!

Abacus, really sorry to hear that your card reader fried your memory card. That's a pretty horrifying thought, I hope it doesn't happen to you again. I take it that the reader is now in the bin!

Yesterday's shot was a phone camera shot of a thistle on the golf course. I've got a nice shot from today in the camera, but I may end up with something different. The sports centre that holds my daughter's ice rink is having an event to celebrate the Queen's Baton relay (that's the Commonwealth Games equivalent of the Olympic Baton relay). So I may end up with a picture from there instead.

Lovely sea shots... now you've been and gone and got me jealous!

Went to a celebration of the impending Commonwealth Games today in the city of Stirling. There was a "Circus Skills" troupe there - my little Sony only has a seven-shot burst mode but this animated GIF is what I came up with:

An old roadsign was a candidate for some over-the-top processing:
