Will she go to Glasgow Uni? Too early to tell - that was the first of several University visits over the coming few months... we can only wait and see what the outcome is!

I went for a walk in the woods today; this location is sandwiched between a motorway and Scotland's largest industrial site. And it sits on the route of the Antonine Wall, the Roman's northernmost fortifications from the 200s AD

Not terribly hot for Texas...yet, but still hot.
The temp was only 36*C, but the heat index make it feel like 42.5*C.
Normally, if the humidity is lower, up to 40C isn't too bad.

I'm so happy that I managed to get my two daughters through university. The last one graduated last year.

Beautiful shot of the woods, by the way. I gorgeous scenery up your way!

Great pictures of the squirrels! And I understand what you say about putting your daughters through University... it can be quite a challenge.

Where I live is thought of as being the ugly, industrial part of Scotland - the general wisdom is that you need to go further north to get to the pretty bits. I just happen to believe that there are some pretty bits in this part of the country too!

Anyway, probably not going to win any marks for "pretty" for this location - but a nice day out none the less

Here is a hollyhock volunteer that is trying to take over my rose garden.
Pretty while it lasts, but it must go soon!

Beautifully sharp, detailed photo there.

My daughter and I dodged a bullet today when there was a roller coaster accident. We would have been on the next run of the car that crashed - I sincerely hope that all of the injured folk make a full and rapid recovery. The photograph is of an earlier roller-coaster run this afternoon.

There was a community band concert today at the fountain behind the library.
I caught this young Boy Scout preparing for the flag ceremony to open the performance.

Yeah, two kids are still in hospital with "serious" injuries

Anyway, moving on, I like the swirl of the flags. Mine from today is just another one of a boat on the canal.
