This clock tower dates back to the 1900s and is pretty much all that now remains of the bustling dockland area of Middlesbrough back in the late 19th to early 20th century
It now stands close to the modern development of Middlesbrough Sixth Form College

A small quirk of this clock tower is that there is only a clock face on three sides, local legend claims that this is due to nearby shipyard and dockland bosses not wanting the workers to spend their time 'clock watching'

Lovely misty atmosphere, also like the building lines and selective focus!

This is the east end of the 630-yard long Falkirk Tunnel. It carries the Union Canal under Prospect Hill, and was built because the local landowner didn't want to have to see the canal from his house! For me, it was the turning point of a morning run - I was trying to see whether there is enough left in the tank to do a half marathon in a few weeks.

BTW, that's us 10% of the way through already!

Spectacular owl photo!

Here's yet another contre-jour sunrise. Soon I'll get bored of this. By which I mean I won't be out of bed early enough to shoot a sunrise

I know, I missed last night. Sorry about that...
I actually had a shot I wanted to use, but forgot to ask for permission of the people in it so I couldn't put it up. But here is tonight's.

Is that a Hubsan drone? My son got one last Christmas; we didn't use it but we've both started showing a bit of interest since. Unfortunately we will need to get a new charging cable, the old one failed on us.

Anyway, today I took a basic picture of the oil refinery and played a bit with it in post-processing
