Creating a DVD from Prem Pro using 5D HD footage

Does anyone have any experience in rendering acceptable quality DVD widescreen footage from 5D 1080p video using Premier CS6?

The default is pretty poor quality once it's been down sized and a disc created with Encore.

Would help if you posted your current workflow so we can see if anything is incorrect.

I produce Standard DVD widescreen using Serif's Movieplus X5 from my 7D 1080 files and they look OK

This. Let us know exactly what youre doing and how youre doing it.

I think the problem is I don't know what I'm doing

Currently create a project in Premier edit then export as Media.
Render using the Adobe DVD preset (generates a MPEG2 file at the correct resolution.

I then import this into Encore and used Encore to write a DVD.


This doesn't sound right to me, I believe I should be using Dynamic Link and different render settings than the Adobe Default.

I'm very new to Video, it really is a different beast to Stills.
