Hello help a newbie gal please looking at a new real wide angle lens Fisheye 8-15mm (external link) is it better than a wide angle say the 10-22? I like a bit wider coverage and the Fish eye effect for some art photos in the city. Thanks

Tell us what body do you use, I prwume a crop body since you are using the 10-22??

what are you mainly shooting with the fish/uwa? The 8-15 can ot take filters which is a big minus for landscape...

I had a 10-22 and hated it.
I have a 8-15 and (after 3 days) I still like it :)

Seriously, they're both fine lenses but ultra-wides and fisheye lenses are both very difficult to use effectively. You don't need filters but then you do need to learn how to take multiple exposures, mask out sections and blend one frame into another. It's not difficult but it does add to the workflow.

Several cameras and more glass than I will admit to.
