I am planning on submitting one of these in a photo contest, which is better 1 or 2?

Wow, I am going to be know help at all on this because, I think they're both outstanding. I have been chasing hummers myself for the last week and its a tough gig.

#1 does it for me. A couple reasons why I think it's the best:

-you pretty much nailed the focus on the bird in the first one. In #2, the bird seems a tiny bit on the soft side.

-#2 has what I'm guessing to be a window or something. That's a little distracting and doesn't do much for the composition, even though I love the pose of bird and the arrangement of the flowers in #2.

Over all, I'm going to say #1.

1 for me, i like the strong diagonal formed by the plants, i might be tempted to lose a bit off the left as its negative space to my eye, but thats just me. :) others may differ.
