That sounds interesting Brands is somewhere I've never been and keep meaning to.

Does the processing on this work or is it to much?

Dom I would push it a bit more

I have done the below not sure if that is the sort of thing you are after

I have also darkened and softened the background to make him stand out more

On the whole subject of ^^^^^^^^ Brands Hatch, my cousin is head of the accounts dept for the Palmer group that own Brands and other race curcuits.

I might have to have a word and see if I can get free some press passes for some of the lower level events for next year ( I'm thinking BSB, WSBK and the likes of Touring Car etc: are going to be out of the question). Anyone interested other than us 2 newbs?????

Sounds good to me. I regularly go to the hatch and am always green with envy when I see the press guys with their special fence less viewing angles. Lol

Looks good Dom, but that radiator is plaguing you again. Your trip to Spain sounds nice. I've not been since I was a kid.

I'll see what the "cus" can do about some "fenceless" access next season.

I like the shot Dom and took the liberty of trying this with Lightroom.....

Thanks, it will be interesting to which if either Dom likes, you have managed to add a grittier feel to it which I did try but fail to do.

All in Lightroom

Darkened, desaturated, desharpened and clarified the background plus some vignetting
Added noise to him and reduced the highlighter slide a little bit

I like this take on it.

Was going to post the same thing. I wasn't going to renew mine but it's quite cheap at this price. And it's nice to get an email telling me I'm awesome, even if I have to pay for the privilege :)

It really piss's me off that people want nice photos of their kids but wont pay, I have a pop at everyone when they ask me...

Welcome :)

bridge99 wrote in post #15276744 (external link)
I think the problem is that people dont think about the cost of the gear you have bought to do their shoot with so expect it for free

They just do not care enough.

I will do whatever it takes to be awesome.

we know you will Sly ;)

Have just had a quick squizz through the last few pages - absolutely love your pics from Scotland Mike, really superb.

afternoon everyone, been AWOL yet again :o life is a bit crazy at the mo. Did a great fun couple of hours fundraising at Celia Cross Greyhound trust last weekend, raised about £50 for them - again using their shed for my mobile studio. Blog is here (external link) if you want to see the lot but here are my fave two pics. Owners and parents are all really pleased so that's a bonus.

another similar event planned in Epsom on Dec 2nd, it's not profit making for me, but it's great networking and good fun too.

Hope you're all well and good and taking lots of pics.

I like what you've both done I'll have another play with it I used ColorEfex in PS when using it I always err on the side of caution as I don't like to push it to far and go over the top.

Sounds like a nice, different, idea for a meet. Anyone else interested in playing as I've never done motorsports before.
