On the whole subject of ^^^^^^^^ Brands Hatch, my cousin is head of the accounts dept for the Palmer group that own Brands and other race curcuits.

I might have to have a word and see if I can get free some press passes for some of the lower level events for next year ( I'm thinking BSB, WSBK and the likes of Touring Car etc: are going to be out of the question). Anyone interested other than us 2 newbs?????

Wowee, that would be amazing! However I wouldn't want to be paying the £5m insurance... Which is what you need with a press pass at Brands I believe..

I'm not as think as you confused I am..

Depending on dates, I would love to join you at Brands for a meet Spuddyd ( Sorry, I missed your real name and i don't see it in your flickr profile either).

If public liability is required, i do have the £5m cover as well.

Always a rare treat to get on the other side of the chain link!

I would be interested is as well and have track side ins with the liability bit. Re the lower end sometimes they are more fun more races and variety eg the Bemsee meets with less delays between races.

Thanks Adrian, I was worried that I'd pushed the contrast to far. I jus I hope I can remember what I've done with these as I have a few more to do when I get back from Spain.

I'm seeing the "cuz" next weekend and I'll find out the details then. I might ask if I can go for a wander around while the curcuit is closed for the winter. Being an ex-Bemsee racer, I know that there is something special about a deserted race curcuit plus you have the added bonus of being able to wander onto the track itself for a few "more unusual" shooting angles .

Andy.

GUTTED!!!!!

Just went to the post office to pick up my 2X converter. They have closed the sorting office to the public for a referb this weekend and it won't be open until Monday :(.

It gets worse in that I'm working in London Monday and Tuesday and will have to leave before it opens but won't be home until they have closed. This means I won't get my hands on it until Wednesday at the earliest :mad::mad:

Now that's annoying. Could you not try ringing them? The sorting will need to be done somewhere...

It's the collection counter that's being referbed, not the whole sorting office. It just p****s me off that they haven't catered for people to be able to get thier hands on urgent stuff that may be in there. One woman was in tears at the entrance because her sons birthday present (a DSLR as it happens) was there to be collected and they're going on holiday tomorrow (his birthday). THAT must be really bad, I was angry and my parcel is in no way urgent.

Thanks Adrian.

This is beautiful Victor - it hasn't been that cold here yet. Wish it would stop raining, dog training was a quagmire this morning, we had to push loads of cars out of the field
