Hey guys, have any of you ever been contacted or done business with the media agency www.hotspotmedia.co.uk (external link) ??

I Was contacted by them today and they want to write an article about my WW2 images and the story behind them to try and sell to the mainstream newspapers. Obviously im really excited about that prospect but wanted to know if anyone had dealt with them and knew if they were reliable, quick to pay etc?

Guess im more looking at Rich, Ian, Mark, etc with this question but if anyone has any info would be grateful.

No heard of them, but I had seen that Gecko photo online so they must have connections. PM any specifics you need to know re agencies as they tend to have flat rates but some differ in %'s.

Can you post the original JPG with nothing done to it?

+1 Dom. I'd quite like a pop at PP'ing this as well. The second one was better but I agree on the arm. B+W is the same as the second. Maybe try pulling the shadows in LR to lighten that portion of the shot.

Good luck with the press passes and you will enjoy the trucks. Very entertaining especially when they come in three abreast into Druids

Hope you manage to get trackside.

one little bit of advise, the £5Mil LI that MSVR require is a pain in the butt...
However, it protects you all.
Laura may turn a blind eye and let you in, however if something happens, and a rider/marshal deems you liable they will not care that they let you in.
It's YOUR responsibility.

I'm not being an arse or anything, I've just retired from about 7 years of track-side, shooting Club racing/BSB/MotoGP etc. so have plenty of experience, and some close scrapes!
(however have NEVER seen a claim, apart from two club riders against a team manager)

No matter how well I know the guys in the press offices, I wouldn't go without insurance.

Have a chat with http://www.aaduki.com/ (external link) it might not be as bad as you think, especially if you want o get trackside more.

Gimme a shout if you want any advise or just a chat about shooting @ brands.

10th floor plantroom of 80 Victoria Street, oposite end of the building to Victoria Street itself.

Virtually center of the picture, you can see the corner of a small balcony at the very top of the building.

Cool building too :)

:). It was a bit too cool the 2 days I was up there! +3 the second day felt like an oven compared to the first day. My Digital thermometer that calculates windchill for you said it was -12 on day 1!!!

Fingers crossed it leads to something and helps you with your mojo.

Had a fun day cycling in on a new bicycle ( secondhand ) with clip in shoes and managed two comical moments when I stopped and could not get me feet out of the pedals and just fell over. Second time I was on the ground with my feet in the pedals.....had to laugh at myself:rolleyes::rolleyes: Fortunately bike and rider okay

Bet you won't know what to do with yourself with all that extra time.

It is definitely weird going to a meeting when you no longer have trackside access
