Would have loved to come to this, but I'll be returning from Istanbul that evening. Looking forward to the shots.

A few from the archives. Southern Utah has some of the most amazing landscapes I've ever seen anywhere, and it was one of the main reasons we moved from Chicago to Colorado about ten years ago...

1. A scene immortalized in many movies:

Some great looking pictures and I can see why you made the move

morning all, phew what a week, shot a wedding on Saturday in a wet dull blizzard with Rich, Rob and Neil while I felt like I was going to be sick all day, not good, then 15hr days at work all week again which is really getting me down now, then told yesterday that im at work today and tomorrow but I can have Tuesday off so 3 days off in a row! I wont know what to do with myself...

Anyhow I actually managed to grab 1 whole hour yesterday at sevenoaks reserve to try out the 1DX on some critters, not great light but I thought I best share the 'duck' pic that you have to take by law with new kit, well its not actually a duck but a Great Crested Grebe but its close enough, these are with the 2x TC on my 300 then really cropped in, I figured yesterday in about 5 mins that I need a 500mm f4...

So 500mm next on the shopping list;)

Anyone here into horses?

Mark is a friend and near neighbour who despite shooting for the dark side, does produce some good work.

Some nice work there, I seem to be asked to do more and more horse shots, looking at Mark's work definitely gives me some ideas, one of his blog posts is a time lapse video of him setting up and doing a horse shoot which is interesting

This is always such a taste to watch. Incidentally, their mating dance was one of the first things I ever photographed with my first camera.

Try to find your bike in that little lot!!

I took this a couple of days ago. There is something about this image I enjoy. It is not the best quality, as I was moving a bit, the dog was also moving and the lighting was complex and it was handheld! Tricky, but an enjoyable photo to capture.

Nice capture in as you say look to be tricky lighting conditions

Few flakes of snow here = a lazy day in

No PP other than Specifiying the lens and a touch of sharpening in LR4. Export to holding folder and upload to Flickr.

One from a while ago. If anyone can tell me what it is, I'll buy them the chocolate bar of thier choice!

Spudd, I will have a go at guessing the Kalidascope shot...

Is it your office table?

What a bloody day!!!

16 hours with no power due to some little sod steeling a car and crashing it into the Power Pole that supplies our little row of cottages. Fantastic Easter Sunday featuring being woken up at 02:30 by the police hunting for the car thief in all the local gardens, still being awake at 04:30 with the SEB making all the power cables safe, (ours was ripped out the wall and hence the fuse box by the force of the impact on the pole!!!). 7 family members for lunch and no way of firing up the ovens as the range needs power to the clock for the safety cut outs to allow gas through! Drag the BBQ out of storage and scavenge enough gas from friends and locals to be able to cook what should be in the ovens. Thank heavens the hobs work without power.

You can imagine how the rest of the morning went with people needing showers etc.............

The day went well with lots of booze consumed and despite several "hissy fits" by all concerned, the food was great.

Power is now back on and the dish-washer is working overtime as we've had no hot water to wash up and no spare hob burners to boil any!!!

BIG thanks to the SEB guys for the work they have done to get us back on the grid.

Got it all to do again tomorrow for friends and then a 4am start Tuesday morning as I have to be in Leeds at 8am

Look like there all from Druids to me.

Will also be there hopefully next week, not sure if on the bike or in the car though.
