As some will remember, I asked for, and was given, travel advice a few weeks ago. Hols almost over, I'm sitting here in London and resting my feet. So maybe you'd like to see some results.
Beginning of May weather was still a bit iffy - in other words, ND1000 weather, time to whip out my brand new B+W.

Not a swan(too small) - a goose? - a duck?

.

Glad you enjoyed yourself on our fair isle :) As for the waterfowl...............if it had a yellow beak, that could be a duck or a goose depending on shape & posture and beak shape???

The Regents Park image does look too underexposed...............though kind of dark & moody.

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Evening all, not had time for forums just lately but hopefully things are easing a little and I will have more time. Not really touched my camera for about 3 months except for a few product shots for work.

Anyway, had a skim through and nice to see you are all helping the economy buying new bodies etc. There have been some fantastic photos posted as well, ones that stick in my mind are the great puffin and kingfisher shots. Also nice to see some aircraft shots from Ian again.

Looking forward to the bird of prey meet next month, will have to get the camera out and practice a bit before then.

Enough waffle, will leave you with a pic of my new ride.

Some truely outstanding work as usual guys n gals - especially liking the Hawker / macro / closeup.

Time to lower the tone again, sorry!
Anglesey is one of my favourite circuits. Seriously long way to go for the one day but what a day!!! Perfect blue skies and sunshine, sticky tarmac and good racing - does it get any better. Few random shots for you:

#1 - 1/160, f/10, iso 100, 182mm - first outing for the new supercharged Caterham. . . awesome!!!
QUOTED IMAGE

#2 - 1/250, f/10, iso 100, 200mm - "catch me if you can"
QUOTED IMAGE

#3 - 1/200, f/9, iso 100, 200mm - "commitment"
QUOTED IMAGE

#4 - 1/160, f/10, iso 100, 165mm - How can you not love this view
QUOTED IMAGE

Thanks for looking, whole gallery is HERE (external link) if you want to take a look

.DAVID.

David, nice mixture of 'metal' you saw there. I especially like #1, #3 & #4

Was it Anglesey where 5th Gear filmed their track sessions & car tests??? I vaguely recall there are stunning views of the sea from there :)

Hi folks,
too many great shots to quote - amazing cityscapes from Fuzz as usual.
Super landscapes from Mike.
Nice planes from Ian.
Welcome to Chris.
Great dragonflies from Mark.
Lee - that backlit foal is probably my favourite shot of yours ever - totes amazeballs mate bw!

Some of you probably saw on fb, I did this thing on Sunday at Gauchos restaurant in Hampstead - they do an event once a month where they let people bring their dogs to lunch. It's promoted by the big dog magazine Dogs Today, and I had the most fabulous time photographing the woofers. Here's just a few. The whole set are on my fb, and they're all black and white and I'm thrilled with the way they've turned out, just love 'em!

Nice Chasers! They have all been a bit slow emerging this year, but it seems to be taking of quite well now. Lots of various ones being seen now.

Couple more chasers from Sunday.

Just one reasonably acceptable one of a female ovipositing a second after leaving the water - these are probably the most difficult to get ovipositing as they are so fast lol.

Hi Penel

Not on FB so have yet to look and see if they are public?

But these two for me are the money shots...............they are so reminiscent of the style I have seen somewhere before but I cannot recall when or who??? They are superb, though mind you it is not to say that the whole set are not good ;)

On another note.

I ran CS6 update and checking the update info it took me to this page for upcoming enhancements that will only be for CC users...............talk about holding PS users to ransom with some highly desirable features that will only be in CC :( Here is the link http://blogs.adobe.com …-members-coming-soon.html (external link)

Just have hope that some of them get incorporated into LR at some stage ? As it seems they are never likely to get updated into CS6 (perpetual license version)!!!
