Took a couple of this fella last week, originally thought he was injured but leaving the nest is a tiring business and he only wanted to sleep.

Moved to here after i woke him up for some more zzs

hate to put a downer on this, but that doesnt look like a fledgling to me. Its too colourful and there is no yellow at the edge of the beak, so this tells me that this poor finch is unwell - it looks classic to the horrible virus trichomonosis (spelling wrong I think lol). Its a horrible disease - eyes and beak are messy, they have difficulty eating and eventually die.
There is nothing you can do for it unfortunately and most finches can pick this up as can sparrows.
