There was a large patch of oil from the exhaust when I stopped it so pretty sure it is the turbo that is shot, made a nose that sounded like the central shaft snapping!! It's a 2005 VW Touran 1.9 TDi. Turbo's are pretty tough things. It's usually the bearings that wipe and cause oil to pass. Be very careful about where you buy. I am a diesel fitter originally, and have fitted many a recon turbo that has soon failed. Buy from somewhere with some sort of comeback. Wayne A.W.O.L.
