Jul 20, 2012 00:46 | #18 I'm a sucker for grayscale, so I vote for the last one. But I'd increase the exposure a bit, and maybe turn down the contrast. I think this would work well as a low-contrast grayscale image. If you're using adobe camera raw, I'd move the blacks slider to the left one or two notches. ashwinsundar.com

Croasdail making stuff up More info | Jul 20, 2012 08:56 | #20 Both in number 1 and 3 the blacks have been so crushed that you have lost the detail in the clouds and in the boats interior cabin, as well as detail in the shadowed grass. The overall effects of both are nice, but loosing detail to editing is something I never really like. I think people are so used to looking at images online where the detail of the shot is lost that they just accept it. This is a great example of how you can kill detail through editing. Printed at a viewable size, that detail may come back...

I feel like the first one is a bit too dark in the grass area. And it's because if the light grass, and the relative hot-spot, that I chose 1. I think the photo 'feels right' in darker tones. If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?
