Hello all i'm looking to purchase new lenses. This will kinda be a big jump for me and i'm looking for any advice or concerns. I'm looking to buy 2 new lenses. A 70-200 2.8 canon or possibly a 300mm 2.8. any of you have one or both of these lenses.. What do you think?


canon 30d, canon 1d mkIII, 50mm 1.8, 18-55mm, canon 1.4 extender, canon 400mm f2.8 IS, canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II, Canon 16-35mm f2.8,Pocket Wizards,430 ex II, 580 ex II, Canon 430 EX, sigma SA-9, 70-300 5.6, 28-80mm(which I NEVER use)

those are two of the best, 70-200 is a very versatile lens. i'd get it first and then decide if you need to go longer.

well currently ive used sigma lenses but im looking to make a switch to canon, im looking to do mostly sport photography

nothings wrong just looking to get more/better equipment. plus sigma gear is hard to come buy here in kentucky

Go to Murphy's Camera on Winchester Rd. or Keeneland Sept. Yearling sales and talk to some of the photographers.
