Zappa Plays Zappa - Grand Rapids, MI 7.17.12

Kind of a boring show. I don't know much about Zappa & his music, so it was hard for me to appreciate it I guess. Not really any action on stage either aside from the spandex guy but the lighting was decent.

I was all over the place when editing these. I usually don't like mixing b&w with color when editing a set but some shots just looked better to me that way.

I'm still not sure how I feel about these, specially the b&w shots. Are they too contrasty?

i like them all, and no...they're not to contrasty

Thanks rick. #1 is my favorite from the set....I edited about 5 different b&w versions of it but I like this one the most. The less-contrasty ones just look flat & boring compared to it.

First is best by a fair margin IMO. Nice.

Thanks René. #1 is by far my favorite of the set too. The rest feel more like filler shots to me.
