Scooby, thanks for the suggestion. More inclined with Canon 17-55 f2.8 as you mentioned cam be used as a walk around lens but also able to use for this event. It seems I would need to save up if can't find a used one.
Now if I can even find a used Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L as Freddy mentioned will be utilized very well.

If your at the back of a church with your f4 on a crop you not going to stop motion blur and get nice pictures, trust me.
Rent the 70-200 2.8
85 f1.8 (remember equal to 135 ff?) cheap but very sharp & fast
135 f2 (great lens, maybe a touch long?)
50-135 F2.8 Tokina (older lens, sharp, crop equiverlent of 70-200?) good value
To give you a guide on lens speed between crop and ff think of this. A 2.8 on a crop is like an f4 on a full frame ie. 60d - 5DII
And even F4 on a ff is tricky to use in low light without flash
